What to do with my wedding dress?

Options
So I have my wedding dress which cost me £1200, and my swarovski veil and bouquet which cost me £600.

Im getting divorced after my ex cheated many times. So I clearly don't want to keep them.

I never had my dress cleaned. Is it worth me selling it or just giving it to the charity shop.

Do you have any other ideas for what I can do with my dress?

You could donate it to another bride to wear? I plan to give mine to this charity http://www.weddingwishingwell.org.uk/Gown-Donation.html who sort out weddings for couples where one of them is terminally ill.

Could one of the new bits on the side be persuaded to buy them off you, as each and every one of them is bound to think that she'll be the woman to change him....

Oh that's heartbreaking, those brides are so young :( What a wonderful way to help somebody though. I'm sat here in tears.

OP, life after divorce can be fun, and you may well meet someone SO much better for you. I am a great believer in karma and that what goes around, comes around.
  • Good luck pretzelnut, and I think you're doing a wonderful thing donating your dress and veil. :) all the best for the future!
