credit file clean up - Partially satisfied????

I have cleaned my credit file after br and all is well.

Currently helping my partner after a DRO. 7 lenders still showing debts from 2011 onwards when she carried out the dro.

The dro was taken out in 2011 and completed in 2012.

Halifax have been the first to reply stating "Having checked our files I can confirm that the above account has been updated with the credit file agencies to mark Partially satisfied."

Could someone please help me understand this? Like a br i thought the debt was gone, therefore it should show £0 or Satisfied !

It's just a technical difference. Settled or satisfied marker on it's own indicates that (eventually) the creditor was paid in full. The use of the "partial" flag distinguishes between that full settlement and one where in bankruptcy/DRO/IVA where although settled/satisfied, the creditor was forced to settle the account for less than the full amount.

It is in ICO guidelines that they can use that marker.
