I won a competition on Twitter 16th December from @sofeminineUK for £1000 worth of DVD and Blu-rays supposedly the top 40 of each. After weeks of chasing I come home today to a box containing a Sapranos box set, True Blood box set and season 1 & 2 of girls! I am so cross with them as my kids have been expecting the top 40 films, I have sent them a real rant on Twitter but as of yet they have not replied. What do I do? I purposely asked friends and family not to buy the kids films for Christmas as we were already getting them; so now I’ve got to go buy them as they have been promised and to be fair the kids did ask for some of them! I can’t tell you how cross I am, according to Amazon the retail price for what I have received is £112 so I still have £888 missing! Please help what should I do?????

Where was the top 40 list populated from ? I think it would have been the top 40 in either blueray or dvd, not both.
Even a top 40 at £15 each one is only £600

Was there a list of the prizes or and terms that you can look at? It does sound as though you were short changed, have you contacted them and asked about what was actually included?

So it clearly states you would get 40 DVDs! I cannot seem to find any Terms and Conditions though sadly but that to me would read you would expect at least 40 DVDs or Blu Ray and not just a couple of Boxsets - Message them and ask when the REST of the 40 DVDs will be arriving.

Threaten to report them to the ASA and IPM as the prize you received is not what was described. Be sure to screen shot any evidence you have to provide as proof.

Are you sure the Sopranos, True Blood and Girls aren't another win because I think there was a mag daily with those three specific DVD box sets from HBO.
Maybe you are still waiting for the twitter win and this is a separate one? Just a thought.

I mainly agree with the above, but just want to add that before I got narky with them over this, I would try to give them a chance to explain and/or put it right. It could turn out to be a genuine mix up, or perhaps only part of your prize. Regardless, I would take a rain-check on the anger. Keep hold of it, might be handy later. But hopefully if you explain and ask about this, they still yet might sort things out for you. Hope so.
