I have a twitter account although I don't know how to use it and only use it for comping :rotfl::rotfl:
Could this be affecting my chances of winning as I literally follow and retweet lol
Am yet to really win anything as all I have had is the blinking fridge magnet and it's not for want of trying lol I put in a fair bit of time into it

With twitter competitions I think more people enter as entry is so simple.
I only use my twitter for competitions too, have won a few prizes since I started last June.
Occasionally I'll tweet or have a mini rant about something, just to show I'm not some sort of autobot lol.
Not sure how much of a difference it makes though!2013 - 86 | 2014 - 127 | 2015 - 39 | 2016 - 22 | 2017 - 10 | 2018 - 56 | 2019 - 16 | 2020 - 4 | 2021 - 5 | 2022 - 1 win0 -
Not a big winner but out of 5 very small prizes in January three came via Twitter. (The other two wins were from newspapers.) I don't chat on Twitter - I doubt any of my followers would read it. I have 300+ followers but they are all businesses hoping I suppose that I'll follow them back. They must be hoping for lots of RT's!
I love reading the threads on MSE and thank but rarely enter as, judging by the number of views, the odds seem well stacked against winning. I do post comps if I find them before the amazing people like Lakshmi and Weeowens- not Twitter comps though as these tend to be fleeting. My one "win" from MSE last year was tickets to an exhibition I really wanted to go to and that Mysticwen kindly offered.0 -
I've done 19,200 tweets and have won twice, think I might just give Twitter up as a bad jobLuck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

If I were you I'd do the odd tweet now and again, say, about after 20 RT's.
It's easy to do, just a little comment in the 'compose a new tweet' box under your piccy. Something like, 'putting the kettle on' just something like that to prove that you are human :rotfl:
A lot of us do the RT's and get the odd little win, some do them and seem to win loads. It just a case of keeping going I suppose.

I only use my twitter account for comps and seem to have done better with that than all the thousands of comps I enter by the normal website and form route. Ticket wins aside other wins seem to be few and far between. Im not saying Ive won loads on TW but have had some nice wins.. 4300 tweets in about 6 months and I've had DVD's, restaurant vouchers, nice bracelet from Samuels, toiletries, a couple of perfume wins and a nice pair of shoes this week.
So I would just carry on and they WILL come.:D0 -
I too only use twitter for competitions. I know how to RT + Follow.
What I don't understand is when someone mentions you, are you meant to retweet that post? Also what does it mean if someone favours your retweet, or what are you supposed to do? Do you retweet that post? I know that you can favour a post by hitting the 'favourite' button but what exactly does that do?[FONT="]
