Has anyone tried the Magic Bullet?
It was advertised on TV. It chips, diced, slices, makes salsa and fruit smoothies. I was tempted, then remembered we have no money
, so now I want to find out whether they are useful to have:question:

MAGIC BULLET!!!!!! I used to LOVE the informercial for those! I have always really wanted one!
If the magic bullet sounds appealing you should definitely look up the advert for he SHAM WOW!
Sorry, I have nothing useful to add...hopefully someone will...0 -
Yep i have had one now for about 3 years. I LOVE IT. Makes life so much easier when i just want to dice one onion, or mix a small amount of batter ect. Saves me having to was up the food processor. My DD loves it for making milkshakes, her fav is milk, icecream and dime bars. what i like most is the fact she can mix the drink in the cup so less washing up. HTHBright Blessings xx0

Have just returned from our local Aldi and I saw that they had a machine that looked very similar to the magic bullet for about £10 in the sale. It might be worth looking at your local Aldi if you are able to?0

I had one a couple of years ago (bought cheap off ebay, I hasten to add). I will admit I was tempted by the totally bizarre infomercial with Mimi and Mick and their really weird house party.
As for the Magic Bullet, it was ok, but was better for liquids than anything hard - the motor is quite underpowered, really, and you certainly don't get the beautifully finely chopped food that they show in the infomercial! What tended to happen with anything hard (like onions, for example) was that you got mush at the bottom and lumps at the top. Or you'd stand there shaking it and just end up with slightly smaller lumps. You certainly wouldn't want to bother doing coffee beans in it! Smoothies were a bit hit and miss - I certainly never found it powerful enough to manage ice properly.
But as I said, it was ok for liquids and soft stuff - batters, eggs, milkshakes etc. Mine lasted a year or so and then it died on me, and I didn't replace it. For chopping I've got a small mini blender that's loads better, and I'm saving for decent blender.0 -
i had a 'fake' one for years bought for £20 and loved it til it finally gave up the ghost. i was tempted to replace it but got a fresh express plus that actually does dice
as the poster above says it wasnt great for dicing but for liquids or grating hard cheese, making smoothies and slushies etc it was brilliant. When you know better you do better0 -
