Time to get serious...

There has been some huge changes since I last posted almost a month ago. I was doing really well, writing down every penny, spreadsheets, spending diary.... Then DH came home just over a week ago to say he had been made redundant! Although we knew they were making redundancies we never ever thought he would be one of them (We have had loads of comments from other staff that they cant believe it either, especially when there was sooo many that put in for voluntary ).
We now have to look at ways to make other big changes and it's going to be hard. DH is struggling and wont even ring jobcentre (but has checked for jobs daily) so I have no idea what we will be entitled to and from when. The kiddies cant start their free school meals until he sorts it. He keeps saying he's ok and not bothered but I know him too well and know he is really struggling. We need to look at where we go from here. Will need my diary to vent now more than ever I think.
