Peel Centre Parking charge (Stockport)

I got a ticket from Excel parking back in October last year.
Like many, I didn't expect to pay in a retail centre, neither did I see any signs or pay machines.
I debated the charge with Excel, but, predictably they stood their ground.
I did appeal to POPLA as I thought the charge was grossly unfair and dis-proportionate. I didn't expect to win, but I did!
This is all down to the advice on this forum. Do your research, and word your appeal carefully, and you will win.
"Not a genuine pre-requisite of loss" is what won me the appeal, as Excel parking were unable to prove that me parking for 40 mins cost them the amount they were asking for.
I would advise not to pay the fine and line their pockets. They are relying on poor signage to fleece a lot of money out of unsuspecting shoppers
