Apparently any one can put up dodgy/blatantly fake adverts on the jobcenter / Universal Jobmatch website - saw this on another forum http://www.cookdandbombd.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,39105.msg2150995.html#msg2150995 (NSFW)"And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0

The government's Jobmatch website is carrying bogus vacancies from nine online recruitment agencies run by a Baptist deacon in Coventry, who makes money by encouraging visitors to post their CVs."And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -

The name of the scamster is rather appropriate - Mark Coward. He rushed into his home to hide and wouldn't even face the reporter to answer some questions.0 -
I live in Cornwall - an area not known for its employment levels. I do not think I would be exaggerating if I say that 90% of local jobs advertised are either catalogue distribution type jobs, ie, kleenezy, avon, etc or door knocking like selling double glazing.
Come on Job Centre clean up your act - we need work!0 -

I know what you mean however that 90% does seem high because they aren't much jobs going around nowadays. I just been in the jobcentre today to find something for me to do part-time or full time (obviously it has to be something where I'm not on my feet all day due to the fact I can't bend down to pick anything up and my feet usually are quite sore especially if I head to town for about 2 hours.). Out of the jobs available I think it was about 10 jobs available in my area alone and about 5 of them is;
3 for Betterware
2 for Enpower Network.
The only problem with the adverts is the fact that they don't specify it is commission only. They all say it is more than min wage. Then at the bottom it has " *Dependent on sales + work ethic"
I personally prefer if the adverts were to stay would be it would state "COMMISSION ONLY" rather than "£5 per hour up to £30 per hour".
Then again I think the jobcentre should display the commission only jobs separate from the paid jobs.
Wonga's quote;
"The reason these sites like numerous others used by all sorts of opportunities dont carry full details are they are merely trying to capture info and then they follow up with details. EG if they said they were Kleeneze to start with no one would ask for details."
I think your last sentence also goes with any catalogue company. About 1990 I bumped into my Ex-Betterware Area manager in the Jobcentre and I remember she said that she put some adverts on the jobcenter's website. I asked her if she said it was betterware on the advert. She said she didn't as it puts people off as they prejudge betterware despite the fact it is free to start.0
