Phone numbers

Hello all, Just wondering if there is a thread in here for telephone numbers?

I've been getting different numbers calling me for the last days (landlines not mobiles). The majority I suspect are spam since I keep clicking "yes" instead of "no" on the mag dailies. I missed a call today with a different number. I've searched it on google and nothing comes up and just rings out when I try to call it back.

Hoping its a winning call but something tells me its those pesky scammers!:p

Is it an 020 number? I've had a few of those since I entered a magazine giveaway and only as I hit submit did I notice the message saying they'd be in contact by phone. Presumably to try to sell me a subscription.
As it's on my mobile I'm not answering on the basis that it's got voice mail and if it's that important they can leave me a message.

yes thats what I was thinking, its been 020 a few times but today it was an 01434 number and just the one call. The 020's call at the same time every day.

Have you tried looking up the number in who calls me? I use it all the time.
