I thought I wouldnt be doing too well as I only food shop once a week, but this week had petrol and newspaper change and also post office twice (must stop buying on ebay when paypal ac is empty!)
so my first week update = £4.87 in my jam jar! :j
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

I have opened up a post office account to pay my challenge money in. Does anybody know if the post office accept bags of change and if so if they have a maximum amount like most banks do?

    Thanks

Sorry about the flooding Jaxx, hope everything gets sorted quickly.

NSD for me so no loose change. I'm planning 3 more NSDs this week so don't think my total will go up much this week xx

Not been upto much this week so have only got a pitiful £1.10 in my jar:o
But i suppose if i get that everyweek from now till christmas i will have about £25 which isnt bad just for spare change. I am sure though that my change will pick up over the summer and i will hopefully make my target and have abit more cash over christmas.

  • Have you ever cast your eyes to the floor around the till area of shops? This seems to be a haven for dropped change. Found 12p earlier, good start for the change challenge. Must admit, using fake plastic beer can instead of jam jar. If only banks made saving this much fun!
  • Total for week two = £6.12
