Wedding Fairs- are they worth it?

I went to one at our venue in October (we'd booked it before we went to the wedding fair) and my mum is going to one at a hotel near their house this weekend. As others have said they're good ways to get a rough idea of prices and what's out there - I think my mum found the stationery stalls useful as she has very kindly offered to make our stationery so it was good to get some ideas.
The one thing I would say is be cautious about signing up for anything as you will get absolutely bombarded with emails. We didn't notice a huge amount of discounting either but then we weren't looking to purchase on the day."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

We went on Saturday too - I didn't think it was that bad but I am generally antisocial so get used to the fact that I hate everything like that. I do remember getting elbowed out the way a lot but figured they were obviously out to shark out a bargain whereas I had pretty much just gone to mooch around! Think me and my Mum spent the first hour and half in the cafe whilst it was quiet lol x:j Married to the Love of my Life 02.08.2014 - Now I'm Mrs E :j
