Well thank you all for your comments some people are taking it a little personal and to be honest i dont care what you think i was asking about a loan, not a row of unhelpful comments.

My car is probably un roadworthy and why would a petrol guzzle volvo, I have to have a 1.4 tops for insurance and a small car as my driveway is little.

I know a millionaire who only buys cars with loans, why, because he said don't waste your savings on things that depreciate! It would cost me approx £800 for the loan and i am willing to pay that.
I give my mum £140 per month for herself thank you very much and i am also giving her £200 for 10 driving lessons and i pay the house insurance and the extra warrenty on household products so considering i have friends who pay tops £100 per month.

Timme i cant even say a word that describes how low you are, I have told people as much as i want to, you don't know my family situation i have been offered the money from 3 people, no intrest and i can afford it now myself but i if i ever was to want credit i need to build my score up.

As regard to the comment of I'm worth it, in 4 years time with a degree and a HNC Distinction and 5 years work experiance under my belt. 5 A levels and 13 GCSEs i think i will be worth more than £14450 more like £20000 a year as i started on £12000 and after 9 months i have been given a £2500 pay rise so i wasn't implying i will be worth a lot but people in my office with 5 years experiance are on £35 per hour. If i work hard then why can't i try and make a lot of money, oh yes and my family own a business, quite a big 1 over 100 years old and been in the paper so wanting a £3000 loan to build a credit score and not a new mini like i could have or any other car in the region of £12000 i don't think i am that stupid or greedy! Yes i live with my mum because i choose to but i could live in the £300,000 house that i may inherit it from my dad all paid for! You probably asked why but my mum has done far more for me than my dad thats why.

Stuff you the people who just write !!!!!!
To the people who have helped thank you,

oh and you will be pleased to know i have been accepted for a £3500 at 13.9%APR over 3 years so good bye forum i am really glad im out of your way!

Good luck is all I can say - See you on the DFW or the BRCSC soon.

Just a parting comment before I unsubscribe from this thread - you need to work on your over inflated self-importance. You seem to have an attitude that's only going to prevent you from progressing further in life and this needs to be given some attention.

With a degree, an HND and all that work experience I'm surprised you can't even spell! 'Warranty, experience'....and all those GCSEs and A levels - it's really surprising that you're not aware that the personal pronoun is capitalised.

I am not even sure why you came here asking for 'help' after having your loan applications turned down 4 times. It's usually possible to get a loan somewhere - there are always the sub-prime lenders. Still, you're happy to pay for it because of all those certificates which ensure that 'you're worth it'!

Carry on trying to 'build your credit score up'. When it's as high as mine and my DH's then you will have something to boast about. Until then, go away and sulk in your own corner.

Why sulk with a good credit score now and if i come unstuck the difference between me and alot of people on here is, i can afford to loose my saving to pay of the debt if i need too.

Thanks for your concerns but honestly there is no need and with a good family who have said they will support me in any path i choose i have someone i can always fall back on and if they ever need me hopefully they can also come to me!

You will not see me crying on here as i can afford to pay the monthly repayments.

Here is something for you to think about all you people who want credit or think credit is bad,

"A loan is money owed and only becomes a debt once the person who has taken it out can no longer pay the repayments, if you can pay the repayments then all is well"

As regards to me spelling i was never too good at English as i only got 2 Bs and to be honest talking to you on here, why do i need to spell correctly and use correct grammer. As long as i can sign my name on all those credit agreements and 'debts' i should be fine! oh yeah and read as i am not stupid enough to not read the agreements myself so margaret, looks like i will be catching you up soon with your BRILLIANT credit.

Oh yes and i will start to look for my car with someone i know who works for VW when i get back from my luxury holiday all paid for by myself over 4months which has cost £1000 for the week.

and the car i want is a £3700 golf, why, to spend loads of money tunning it up i am looking at spending overall over 3 years £10,000 you won't recognise it and you may think it is a waste of money on a depreciating asset however i see it as giving myself a little bit of pleasure my making my car my piece of art, differently to others but not OTT, why not, i can afford it,

    ;)

See you forum and good luck to you all, nice speaking with you even you Margaret and Timmne.

Have a lovely summer and all the best for the future, You only live once so why not make the most of it but DONT try and get something you cant afford, work out what you can, inc. and unexpected payments you will need and if it seems to be out of reach, WAIT as you will only regret it. Be careful and be happy!

  • i am 20 and i am working 9 - 4.30 in a well paid job, but ive just moved out with my boyfriend. half of my monthly wage goes towards the rent and bills.
ive looked around and found a couple of cars i like, and some good insurance deals. all i needed was some help with getting the money to buy a car, but like you i cannot get finance even though i have a good credit rating and have never missed any payments for anything and im always up to date with my phone bill and car insurance for my old car.
but because im under 21 i cant get a loan. i asked my bank - Halifax, and thier interest rates were stupid! for a £4000 loan, the total repayable was around £7500!
i have 4 different accounts with halifax and my first account was opened when i was 11. and still they were un willing to help me.
im still searching for a loan with a company that is not charging me double what im borrowing. if i have any luck il be sure to let you know.:money:

Don't know if this is any use but you could open a student bank account and use your overdraft. It's interest free until you leave university and Halifax will give you an overdraft of up to £2750. You'll also be able to get a student credit card to spend up to £500 to make the amount up but make sure you can pay it back within 56 days as the charges are higher than normal.

Any loan you'd have to say the full rent, even if you only pay 50% - as you are fully liable

the better rates start with higher amounts i'm afraid - over £7000

with the bank of england increased again today, see lending rates increase

Thanks Kay 1404 some people on here dont offer the advice you ask for and just enjoy calling you and making assumptions that you will get in debt. All i asked was for help with a loan and i got abuse and people advising me on something i wasn't looking for. Good Luck with the search and keep me posted!
