I have just had a message from Twitter saying that my account has been suspended as I am retweeting too many promotions. However most Twitter competitions require you to retweet to enter! Does anybody know any way around this?

    Ah ok thank you. I set up a new Twitter account just for use of competitions because I didn't want to be annoying my friends via my personal one! I guess I will just have to miss off the Twitter competitions from now on. :(

    do some "normal" tweets as well - twitter has changed ir appearance & I can't see where to tweet

    If you have only just opened the account then lots of retweets will cause you trouble more quickly than if the account has been going for a while (I have almost 4,000 tweets and I doubt if even a dozen of them are actual tweets rather than retweets).

    Spreading them out over the day helps as well.

    I don't think suspensions last long, I've been put into twitter jail before now and that was lifted after just a few hours.

    Go back through and 'unretweet' comps that have ended
    Just press the promoters twitter name - check to see if they announced a winner and then press the 'retweet' bit which should be in green and it will remove the retweet from your timeline

    Have profile set up properly with no mention of comping.
    Add a proper profile photo

    ALSO

    Add in plenty of regular tweets and do not enter twitter competitions all in one go - do a few at once - break and then some more.
    Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!

    My Twitter is all comp retweets - I am simply not interested in it otherwise, there are probably 2 'real' tweets on there. Not been suspended yet but always expecting it:cool:

    Sorry to bump but I've just joined twitter for comps and have got a few messages from co's I'm following with a link, but the link doesn't lead to anything, is this common? And what does it mean? Thanks!
