Solicitors haven't received offer, complete in 3 days??!?!?!?!?!?!?

We've since found out why the mortgage offer hasn't been received, the underwriters have verbally said they will once they receive a correct version of one of the forms. We've been told not to worry.

Thanks for all the advise and comments regarding my "clueless" approach. I would have liked the opportunity to use both an estate agent and a broker however it wasn't particle.

1) Estate agent - house was being sold through family no need to go on the open market, prices were agreed between ourselves.

2) we've spoken to 2 mortgage brokers who basically said what we wanted from our mortgage couldn't be done, (it was rather complicated) they both came highly recommended but was as much use as a chocolate fire guard. Yet after being nagged to go into Yorkshire Bank they said they couldn't see a problem.

Not that any of the above matters anymore as the seller is now demanding more money.. BRILLIANT! *Bangs head against wall*

Walk away, it sounds a real mess.
