This is the way it looks but in view of the lack of clarity, an appointment with the payroll administrator is essential?

    Hi Jem

    P11D for 12/13 Shows :-

    Car 1 Ford C Max

    List Price £25075
    Amount Paid by employee £0
    Cash Equivalent £2093

    Car 2 Ford C Max

    List Price £25075
    Amount Paid by Employee £3215.99
    Cash Equivalent £2802.00

    Total Cash Equivalent £4895

There is however and always has been only 1 car !!

    Thanks in advance...

I could be off the mark with this but as I see it you have a car on a salary sacrifice scheme which for tax purposes is treated the same as a company car.

The same car is then used for two employments, as a result they effectively declare two cars to HMRC on the P11d, with apportioned amounts in relation to each job, Cash Equivs of £2903 and £2802 are close to a ratio of 2:3 which you have said is the ratio of the two employments.

The total figure for both of £4895 is pretty much 19% of the list price which would mean a CO2 emissions of 120-124 if Diesel or 135-139 if Petrol. Do you know the CO2 figure for the car?

I do think sitting down with payroll to discuss this with them is the best action going forward as ultimately it is a complicated situation and I wouldn't be surprised if mistakes have been made.
