2 mothers claiming CSA 2 and CSA 3 help!

I have just split with my current partner with who I have 3 children and I already pay CSA2 payments to a previous partner for 2 other children.
My current partner is going to make a claim for Child support but I am unclear how this will affect my current case under CSA2 and the level of payments made by my first partner.
Can someone help please?!!
Will the application come under the new gross income rules and how will this impact on the previous assessment under net income rules?
I'm quite happy to make payments but just want to be sure they are calculated accurately if there are two different systems in place.
thanks for your help!

Then why not run the calculations on both schemes and see how they turn out?
From what you type, 25% net on scheme 2, split 60/40 ?0 -
Thanks,
I hadn't realised that it would be split 60/40... if this is the case then one would get less than the other.
If my current partner applies now, will it be under the gross income calculation and will the CSA actually take account of a calculation under CSA2. Sorry to be a bit dim on this, I've just heard awful stories of fathers plummeting into debt.0 -

Well banging out 5 is not easy fortunately you have spread across two Mum's
I think on scheme 3 it's 19% gross, so the figure should be somewhere in between the 2 totals.0 -
Thanks!:)
Well you never know I could still bang out 8! (joke) Luckily I have the finances to support them.0 -
I believe your CSA2 case will be moved over to CSA3. Whatever the gross figure (I think 19%?) will be calculated and then split between then mothers of your children 3/5 to 1 mother and 2/5 to the other.0

This is correct - the CS2 case will close down, and the parent with care there will be asked if she wants to create a new case on the 2012 scheme. If she does, then you'll be assessed as having to pay for all 5 kids, with adjustments made for any overnight stays, and the assessment will be proportioned out.
The amount paid in the first case may not actually differ that much, you'd have previously been assessed to pay 20% of 75% of your net income (taking into account the 3 kids who were living with you), now that assessment will be 2/5ths of 19% of your gross income. There's a calculator on the CM Options page, run your wages through there for a good indication of what you'll pay.
The income for your assessment will come from your most recent tax year.0
