CSA and new house

Hi all
I'm a newbie on here. I wondered if anyone could offer guidance on the following:
- currently pay csa for one child born 2006
- have my own home (mortgaged 90%) now rented and breaking even, just
- looking to get joint mortgage with new partner who is contributing substantial cash sum
we will have an agreement in place to document this, but i'm worried the funds for new joint house could somehow be assessed despite not being mine and having originated from my partners family.
Anyone have a view?
Hope this makes sense

Sounds like you are worrying over nothing, the contributions are based on your net pay, what's the mortgage got to do with anything?0

yep, cases post 2003 are CSA2 so its a straight 15% of your net pay less any deductions for overnight stays. Your mortgage isn't accounted for neither is your partners wages.0

Thanks, I do have a tendency to worry about these things. I read something about taking assets into account if they are over £65k and got concerned.
Thanks again

Your home is not an asset a 2nd home maybe, but at the end of the day you don't have to tell your ex your business.0 -
The lump sum isnt yours, therefore cannot be assessed upon.0
