Hi
I have a Scrap SHS file "WORD" on a memory stick.
I am having difficulty opening it on windows 7.
I have searched the web and found this:-
If you are using Windows 7 and MS Office 2007 or later, then change the extension of .shs file to .docx and open it with MS Word. It will give you an error message and then will ask you to extract content. Click yes, and you are done.
This sounds quite simple but I don't have a clue how to change the extension of a file!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
pam

If you can see the .shs bit of the filename when you view the contents, right click on the filename and select the Rename option. Then change shs to doc or docx. Bit more work if you can't see the shs, but it sounds like you can.
Think you'll be disappointed in what you eventually see, but at least you've looked at it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
