Weatherbys Bank?

Hello,

I have recently seen this bank and was considering switching my bill paying account to it, I'm currently with RBS (Drummonds although RBS branded debit card, not Drummonds :() and I'm with HSBC and Lloyds for certain bills, I'd like to ditch my Lloyds account as while they have been great, I feel a change is needed since my local branch is now TSB ().

So yes, has anyone heard of Weatherbys and are they any good, I'd be looking at opening the 'Racing' current account as I don't have £3 million lying around :rotfl:

So what your saying is that you're are closing your Lloyds bank as you don't have a local branch, but you do have a local Weatherbys, so are considering opening one of those?

I actually don't mind the whole no branch thing nearby, just TSB is ugh so was interested in a different bank, would like to stay away from Barclays (which is the alternative option) at the moment if I can mind.

What is "ugh" about TSB? right now, they are essentially 100% Lloyds, who you said were great. Is it the blue that you don't like?

I'd say you would need to be involved in Horse racing, or own a racing Horse to be eligible for one of their racing accounts. Especially since you just want it to be a bill's account, I don't think they would be interested in your custom.

Although is your RBS card online or offline ? If it's online you may get a Drummond branded one when you upgrade to an offline card, like I'd did with my Child & Co account. But if it's offline already, I guess Drummond don't do branded cards etc.

I do own a horse although don't do horse racing yet ;)

No idea, my card starts with 4751 17, it's a standard RBS debit card although I was thinking of changing my branch to Child & Co and requesting a new card if my card is already offline ;)

That's an offline card so it would appear Drummonds don't do branded cards or cheque books. Strange that Child & Co do yet Drummonds don't. Wonder if you would have to open a new account to change sort code.

If that's the case, I'll wait until my contract is up for the monthly payments then open a new account at Child & Co, only 6 months to wait :p They do do cheque books though, I have one :)

    Thank you :)
