What's the best way to use Nectar points?

As the title, what is the best way to use Nectar points?

I am familiar with Tesco doing 'doubling up' and having different values - is this the same with Nectar?

I have about £35 in points according to my latest receipt - am I better just sticking £35 of diesel in or filling my trolley with £35 of stuff?

You don't just have to use them in Sainsburys. Check out the Nectar website and there is a whole range of things you can buy with them. Cinema tickets, magazine subscriptions and you can even use them on Ebay. If you want to use them in store, why not treat yourself to a voucher and use it for a night out?

Sainsbury's have also done a "doubling up" Nectar promotion a couple of times last year, although much more restrictive than the Tesco scheme.

If you are a British gas customer you can get an extra Vue cinema ticket when you use Nectar points to buy one; ie two tickets for the cost of one using Nectar points. You could get quite a few cinema trips using £35 worth of Nectar points! If interested look at details on the Nectar website. Click on the British gas section to find details.
