Avoid Mrs cashback like the plague they are well known for not paying out0

thanks for the comments above, confirms what I'd thought! Just got over the £30 threshold, been waiting over a month, and no response at all to any queries I've listed. I'll stop checking for a payment!!
on the other hand - TopCashBack - track well, reply promptly and PAY immediately - by the method I choose and double the cashback amount. Its the best.0 -
stick to you're guns, it took a while and loads of emails but i did get my money in the endwins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:0

Completely agree. Mrs Cashback are terribly unreliable - they are poor at chasing outstanding cashback, make slow payments (or not at all) and are shoddy when it comes to reply to messages. Wish I'd started and stuck with TopCashback.0 -
HI,IS THE MRS CASHBACK SITE SHUT AS THEY:j OWE ME £465 POUNDS,I CANT GET THROW ON E-MAILS OR NET,CAN SOME ONE HELP,THANKS0

Mrs Cashback site has not been working for some weeks. A poster on another thread pointed to a change of address registered with companies house which might be of some use:
(Sorry I am not allowed to post the link)
My worry is a lack of protection for consumers on these Cashback schemes. So far as I can tell, we do not have many rights. People talk about have "having accounts" with these organisations and being owed money but in each case there is small print that says cashback is not guaranteed or that it can be withdrawn or cancelled at any time. Where does that leave us I wonder? Perhaps the fact that Mrs Cashback charges an annual fee (for Gold level rebates at least) implies a contract of sorts against which a challenge might be mounted but I am not certain that this constitutes much in law.0 -

I've had loads of problems getting any contact recently and I'm concerned about my cashback (I'm owed over £100). I am also about to insure my car which will be another £100 cashback if I use the site. Is the site about to close??
I am a gold member of Mrs Cash Back, thanks to them last time taking the money from my account saying I had been given gold cashback but had not paid the fee. I am again owed more than £50. I now can not even get the site to open up, says it is not there.
Have sent numerous emails to them, and no reply.
Also wrote to registered company head office and no reply.
I too would like to know what is going on.
If they have gone out of business, then surely they could post something on the web to let all of us know.0 -
I've been waiting for 2 or 3 months to get my £30 cashback, or even a reply to my emails.
Here's the reply I've just received - make of it what you will:
We hope that to date you have enjoyed the benefits of being a member of MrsCashBack.com which many members regularly use to gain cashback on day to day purchases that otherwise they would miss out on.
The concept of MrsCashBack is to provide a community of individuals with an innovative and simple way to make savings on their online purchases in an easy to use format.
There are two types of membership to MrsCashback, Standard or Gold. This enables the user to redeem either 50% or 100% of the cashback allowance respectively. The Standard membership is free of charge and the Gold membership is chargeable at a value of £29.95 per annum.
Unlike some services that automatically deduct the annual fee for membership, we rely on our members to advise us that they wish to continue before we deduct or accept any payment for the relevant service.
With respect to your membership, we note that you have requested a withdrawal for your cashback and that you are doing so as a Gold member. We have identified that your GOLD membership commenced on the 16 April 2007. All memberships, as per the terms and conditions of the service are for a duration of 12 months. This does mean therefore that after the initial 12 months, your membership should have reverted to the Standard membership.
In view of this, we have two options concerning your current withdrawal request.
We can either deduct the applicable Gold membership charge that would normally be applicable for the length of membership that you have had from your withdrawal amount requested, or revert your membership to the Standard membership and re-calculate your cash back based upon the Standard terms of membership.
Please indicate your preferred option below in order that we can act upon your withdrawal request.
Yes, please deduct the relevant Gold membership fee and pay me the difference in my withdrawal request.
Yes, please change my membership to Standard membership and re-calculate my withdrawal request.
Please can you let us know of your decision by email.
I had the same email last year, told them to go ahead with the gold and eventually i got my money less the gold fee. since then again I can not get my money back from them, and one of the sites i used to claim cash back from staples has stopped using them. So I decided to ask for the money owed to be paid out . That was back in May this year, several emails later and letters to reistered head office and no reply.0 -

All this sounds very familiar indeed, except that my cashback less gold fee has yet to materialise. I am beginning to suspect it never will.0 -
