how does the OR assess rent

Hi all,
Just in the process of finding renting accommodation before declaring bankruptcy and VR my current house.
How does the OR assess reasonable rent costs?
We are currently in a 2 bed house which is small and within the space of 18 months now have 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl,so obviously need a bigger place and one ideally local to schools for the future as my wife does not drive.
Currently in 20k negative equity so no chance of moving for years and the rent will be more than my mortgage currently is due to the home being bigger.
I just don't want to get a house, declare bankruptcy. Only for the OR to tell me that I need to move because I am paying too much!
Stepchange didn't think that it would be an issue as I have good reason to need a bigger home.
Thanks in advance

The size of house won't be the issue, it is the area. If you find a reasonable price rental then it shouldn't be an issue, the only possibility of a question mark would be if you chose some exclusive area when it is very expensive to rent even a small property. The OR will allow a rental price for what you need."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

You don't need to worry about this. Choose somewhere sensible for your family, size and location wise.0
