Well once again the most incompetent bank in the UK have manged to royally make a mess of a simple transaction! Moving mortgages from one bank to another not only do the so and so's require the interest in advance they also then took a random (not the usual payment) amount by dd this month too!
So I am nearly £800 down and have to fight to get it back ..... DD bank guarantee is my next step tomorrow as if the money is not in my account I will be making that call but honestly why on earth am in that situation and having to spend time sorting their muck up!
Doglet is driving me bonkers, his meds were altered and it does not suit him. So we are readjusting them back but it is a long process to get him back to sense, as in not waking me up 4 times a night, incontinence issues, general grizzling and carrying on.
So I am a very tired bod presently. Work is bonkers but in a good way so far. I do need to try and keep the balance of work and life.Start info Dec11

Money returned! Thankfully! Upon consideration I realise that this money was over-budgeted for as I did think we would need another payment, and now we don't this month! Really it should go "back" to the slush fund but it cannot.
This means I am actually over target for Q1 needs. However as always another thing has cropped up - replacement crown for DH is needed - this adds £450 (:o:eek:) to the needed monies. I did say just pull the tooth out
apparently that was not supportive :rotfl: so we are still despite this not quite there .....:( Start info Dec11

Crown cost managed to negotiate to £400 .... I still think pull it out!
Water has once again managed to creep into the house so we are playing the anti-flood game! Bored with this one now and the forecast for this weekend is RUBBISH!
We have on the agenda for this weekend's fun the reassess the loft game. I am sure lots of the things we have up there were going to be useful BUT times they are a changing so we have to reassess and see what else can we sell. Thinking of the money honey! If I remember correctly there are lots of camping stuff and so on that would be better sent to new homes (and the proceeds in our pockets!)
Now I am after inspiration for DH Valentine's. I have managed to get a card for him and now need some inspiration for a present. Think I should make an effort on this one so going to put a £25 limit on this .... ideas anyone??Start info Dec11

Hum DH still insists on buying blinking lottery tickets and those scratch cards too. I personally think it is a waste of money. However it would take a serious issue for him to stop and probably a row. I pick my battles and can't think this battle is going to benefit any of us over and above the heartache caused
However he managed to win £100 on one of these infernal scratch cards. And presented it to me for funds .... What Can I say?Start info Dec11

Loft assessment has revealed a stash of items we now think should go. Was tired cold and grubby from spending the day moving stuff, photographing, measuring. Have listings ready for the Bay of Flea. Some will have starting prices so need a suitable weekend to list.
Made us both feel more than a little morose but trying to keep positive.
I also took the opportunity to reshuffle and adjust storage options in the loft. So we now have an alimighty pile awaiting re homing. Another pile went to charity yesterday. And several racks of stuff with the least likely to be used furthest back.
We did decide to keep tools.
In other news I am now on my 5th lot of antibiotics in a little over 3 months. This time a 5 week course! Totally fed up. Wish the cause could be determined and rectified. However if it makes me feel any better it is a good thing.Start info Dec11

Three months of not being well, how draining and miserable for you. I hope this lot finally clear the bug thing for you.
You must feel a twinge of satisfaction for sorting and tidying the loft, just a bit? If you remember I sold loads of stuff on the bay of flea in the run up to moving. Some of it was special stuff too, but sometimes other things are more important than possessions dear one.

Hello Missrlr, :hello:
Well done indeed on The Loft Sort-Out. :T
..Bet that feels sooo satisfying (once the spider-silk has been showered out of your hair, lol)!
Good luck exchanging unwanted items for ££ via Bay of E.In other news I am now on my 5th lot of antibiotics in a little over 3 months. This time a 5 week course! Totally fed up. Wish the cause could be determined and rectified. However if it makes me feel any better it is a good thing.
Umm, Missrlr are you taking anything to help your body recover from adverse effects caused by the antibiotics?
If not, suggest reading up on this common problem which is usually ignored by Allopathic doctors (ie. GPs).
Eating live / probiotic yoghurt is a great way of restoring beneficial gut flora. Or there are supplements which might be a good idea to start with, given that you're on your fifth course of ABs. - But please read up on the subject yourself, as several health conditions alter the balance and require subtly different probiotics to improve the strength of one's immune system.0 -
I always take acidophilus when prescribed antibiotics. These really help avoid the nasty side effects.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st 1lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
