PS Vita

Options
Hey guys,

I am looking at getting a PS Vita Mega Bundle with a starter kit. I saw it on Play.com the other day for £139.99 on a one day deal which ended at midnight. I decided to buy one at 23:50pm but when I logged back on the price was £179.99 (before the midnight deadline)

I have sourced another one its about £150 (so a little more expensive) and I am now wondering to buy one.

I have a PS4 so I can use the remote functionality of the PS Vita. Also wanting to get one with OLED screen as the newer slim version which is out soon has a LED screen and is not as good.

Please any advice would be most grateful and any tips or deals I can get?

Many Thanks

The newer 1 actually comes with an LCD screen, is that better than OLED ?
  • Thanks for correcting me. But not really answering my questions.

You haven't answered my question, is the tips and deals in reference to a a vita as you mentioned you had sourced 1 albeit not bought 1 yet.

Have you looked on hukd for any deals ?

So its the older style Vita your after yes ? Just like when the next consoles people traded in current machines so id imagine the same might happen with the Vitas so mgiht be a deal to be had that way.

TBH I don't think the OLED screen is worth it, Id much rather have the slimmer body and longer battery life.

Mine suffers a bit too much from over saturation and the black spots most OLED screens seem to suffer.

The remote play feature is a nice idea but in practice it doesn't quite work, using the touch panel as triggers seem to miss quite a bit.
The remote link just isn't quite enough for twitch gaming either, resign and killzone were pretty unplayable over the remote link.

Id would probably wait for the new one to come out and see if retailers try to shift old stock although its not the most popular console so I'm not sure if there will be too much movement.

The old one is brighter than the new one.

You will also need to get a 32gb memory card. Any lower is pointless, especially if you have PS+.

    http://www.shopto.net/video-games/psvita/PSPHWV127-ps-vita-wifi-3g-16gb-memory-card-10-game-download-voucher- seems a good deal.

Tell me about it my Vita came with a 4gb card I can't fit anything on it, so I just ordered a 64gb card for 9,580¥ around £57.

Thanks for that, I have ordered from ShopTo last night. It comes with a 16GB memory card so I will see how that goes.

May sell the 10 game bundle as not really into those games. I am searching for decent games I like on Ebay etc now.
