In my 'outgoings' page on my BR forms (step 7), do I put down how much things are in total, or how much my 50% share is?
(Ie, I live with OH. Rent is £1400 a month. Do I put £1400, or £700? Food etc is £200 (or allowed anyway I think for a couple), so do I put £200, or £100?)
Confused....:D

No, not a mansion, a falling down in bad repair old factory conversion, but need it for OH's work - live/work unit. It's a tricky situation, as we live in half of it, so only£700 is our rent, £700 the business technically, but only OH as a private tennant on agreement, not business, so also technically all ours to pay. We need to live in this area due to me gettting a job now here, and getting a live work unit is few and far between. If I left OH and got a place on my own I would be paying more than £700 a month due to bills as well all on my own, as the water gas etc etc we don't pay, its in the rent (not that the rental agreement says this, we don't actually have a copy, but it's as flimsy as - but we were homeless before so just were desperate to get a roof over our heads.) Its a v tricky situation tbh. Also if we have to move OH can't work - this is all he has done for 20 odd years since school, so who would employ him? :S The business is suffering from teething troubles as well, but should all pick up soon, we're getting there, so will be able to sort that all out soonish. Just need to get me sorted first as I can't function all that well with this hanging over my head.
Also it's London - the land of £400 a week for a shoebox....Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
