Frozen mince in slowcooker?

Last night I got 2 packs of mince out of the freezer as planned to make a load of bolognaise sauce in my slow cooker today. Never done it this way before! Anyway, my bloke put them in the fridge last night before bed! And so now they are still mostly frozen. Im really not sure how best to defrost them quickly and safely and want to get on with the prep for this so I can leave it for the rest of the day.
Any help appreciated.

I have done it before and it is fine. Also frozen sausages. This is putting the slow cooker on low about 9am and having tea about 6, but i know it was well cooked before then.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

doesnt make any difference in the slow cooker, the only time i'd brown meat is when its not in the slow cooker, and the bolognese and chillies i have made have been very tasty without browning.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I must admit I prefer to brown my mince before putting it in my slow cooker - seperates the mince - found if I put it in whole it just cooked in one big lump! giant bolognese beefburger!! Mind you thats if I use proper butcher mince - if I am making a really strong chilli I just use that frozen free-flow stuff and it works out ok just putting it straight in.Kondo'ed 76 items from wardrobe, 4 carrier bags of books0
