my other half and I recently (july) bought an 1880 Victorian semi detached that needed a lot of work. we are thinking of applying for a loan to get the house from just about living standard to ahh isn't this a lovely home standard! but I was just wondering do you think it would be better for us to apply jointly for a loan, or whether to both apply separately for a smaller loan x 2. we have a joint income of about £57,000.00 and have about £3,000 on a cc. I think we need about £15,000. would it be better to both apply for that amount of to apply separately for 2 loans of £7,500? we have a joint current account so we do share finances. any views would be greatly appreciated
