SettingIn- Yes, I do Toluna. Can be a bit infuriating like all these sites with getting chucked out of surveys for being wrong demographic when you've already wasted time doing some of the questions. I signed up around Feb 2012 & have had about £200 Debenhams gift cards which has been a great help to the clothes/presents budget. The first voucher takes the longest to get but because there is such a long time lag between your points being added, once you have bottomed out your account & requested a voucher, you can sign on the same week & find several thousand points added on from surveys already done because there Is such a delay, so subsequent cash in levels seem a bit quicker. I'm redeeming my points for John Lewis vouchers from now, as can also get them from Ipsos Mori & my credit card loyalty points so am going to use them towards a Kenwood Chef for my big birthday. So yes, Toluna has been worth doing for me, but my patience levels with it do vary!
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
Thanks foxgloves, I will stick with it and see if I can accrue some points. I was finding it very frustrating spending a good few minutes going through question to suddenly be told I'm not the right fit, was getting a wee complex :rotfl:
Oh and Kenwood Chef, the BEST gift ever. My hubby thought my 30th was a significant enough birthday to warrant one. I LOVE it though and know it will last years. Desperate for the ice cream attachment for mine, maybe I will treat myself to it once I'm debt free.

SettingIn - Yes, I had a less expensive Kenwood as a wedding present & it's given over 12 years of excellent service, but the motor sounds dodgy now & several bits have broken off the blender. As I love baking & cook everything from scratch, we both thought a Kenwood Chef would be a great present - I love those funky- looking stripy ones! Really looking forward to choosing!
I do understand what you mean about Toluna. I wish they would use the profile info to target people more efficiently. I get emails saying 'A survey picked just for you' but I then find it's for parents only, or on one occasion for men! Do you do the daily quick vote sponsored content polls? They pay 15 pts a time but are super quick & for some reason, those points are added on straight away. You also learn which survey topics are most likely to be successful for you. I'm not working currently so ignore all on employment or business. I mostly ignore surveys on cars. I love driving but usually get chucked out of surveys because mr f drives the car more often than me. I usually ignore mobile phones as a topic too because it's just toooooooo boring. You sometimes get surveys where you are sent free stuff to test. I've had 2 lots of full size shampoo & conditioner, 3 different types of crisps & posh popcorn so far! Sadly no cava or chocolate yet, lol! So, it's a bit of a mixed experience, but I've really enjoyed getting the gift cards x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.

Today was a NSD for me as I didn't leave the house....lol
I also managed to fix my own hoover by ordering a replacement flex from e spares and fitting it myself with the aid of a video on the e spares website I am not sure how much it would have cost had I taken it to the repair shop but it cost me £25 including postage and it only took one day to arrive
I also got a phone call from Virgin offering me the package I wanted , so I am not going to BT after all, apparently the woman I spoke to originally should have put me through to a different department but didn't , as soon as they thought I was leaving they offered me a better deal....hooray
My lunch was from stores and I am having Jacket potatoes for tea which are from the shopping I did on Monday
Did all my washing and have hung most of it on the airer but I changed my bedding so that went in the tumble dryer because I had nowhere to hang it and its raining yet again
Craft wise I am knitting squares for a blanket to send to Battersea dogs Home as they put out an appeal on FB I will have to post it to them but its my good deed and won't cost much to post plus knitting it is keeping me busy so I am not going out shopping through boredom
Always have too much month for my money

Foxgloves, no I don't currently do the daily quick quote sponsored polls, how do I join? Like the sound of quicky surveys and the thought of receiving free pop corn & toiletries, I'm in... :TNew Year New Motto - I will be debt free

Interesting overhearing about Toluna foxgloves & setting in...I haven't heard of them yet - off for a mosey tomorrow! I too can join the I'd love a Kenwood crowd...I keep hinting, and have often thought its the one thing I'd buy for the house for fun, if you know what I mean...but somehow, needing a new roof and now new kitchen floor (structure, not covering) somehow get in the way!
Excited that my friend is late with our pizzas...oven has been on for a while so DD and I just made a massive batch of mincepies with gifted home made mincemeat and pastry from the freezer stash. Cooking nicely now, yum, and we really needed some form of snack, for houseful over the weekend, so that will stop me popping to the shops

SettingIn - Sign into Toluna as normal. In the drop-down Survey Centre menu, click on the 'Sponsored content' option & you will get that day's selection of very quick polls. There are lots of quick polls you DONT get paid for, so make sure you definitely go for the "Sponsored content' pages.....you don't want to give your valuable time for nowt!2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.

Hello
Late check in for me.
Today has been a very a low spend day, really nice one too.
MSE activities today
1) Son was invited to a play at another boys house after school, his mother cooked for both of them, which was lovely of her. I took along some coffee & pastries I already had.
2) My husband revealed he still had the same £10 in his wallet he'd had all week, which means he has bought every single lunch to work & not bought coffee out.
3) Checked my banking/Greasy Palm/Music Magpie
4) Been on here to read everyone else's motivational posts, great thread on here today!
Hello to Ikesmum too, nice to 'meet you' Hope you are well today Ziggy, not like you not to be here??
