Laptop

I'mm after a Laptop for home use and very slight buisness use. I've been looking on Dell and fancy the following 2. Can anyone advise me which is best? The main dfference seems to be the processor.
Inspiron 1721 £629
Inspiron 1720£749

any help appreciated as i know little re pc's...

Not really for playing games, alittle photo editing,music downloading , using word/excel and internet main uses.

Hey Wendy,

As a rule of thumb, AMD processors are usually slower than Intel Processors.

Personally, i wouldnt reccomend Dell, laptops and desktops seem to come out very expensive after shipping & vat is added.
also, dell like to ship there pcs with alot of junk of them (thats there way of making money)

i reccomend Acer, laptops are relaiable and affordable

Ive got a 2nd hand quite old Toshiba Satelitte Pro and havent a bad word to say about it. I am looking for a new one currently due to this one getting old and battery is poor, And have been told by a computer engineer mate of my dads to stay away from Acer he said change the e to a p and re arrange the letters and thats what they are .

Im more than likly going to get another Toshiba
