Are you on a tracker deal or not?

Did you read my above post which tells what your options are assuming you are?

It's possible that the person you spoke to wouldn't be aware of the 'track and switch' which would be specific to your deal.

yep on tracker, possibly but i thought she had my file open seeing she was advising me on specific questions relating to my mortgage.

Will ring them tomorrow and explain i am on track and switch, applied online; why does my new illustration say start date in 2 months time? why can't i start new rate straight away without incurring fees, afterall i'm on a track and switch deal aren't i?
  • Present deal is tracker can switch to fixed. i am going for a new tracker which using online switch deals was in offer to me, so even though contract says tracker can switch to fixed, online the options available include tracker and fixed options. However the new deal online says tracker switch to tracker or fixed. this is the only difference.

As I said there are two distinct processes you refer to. Do it online and take the cash back. So close to the deal end the track & switch isn't worth taking advantage of.

You misunderstand the track and switch is done online so you can take cashback but they should start the new deal now not in april.
  • Hi Peeps
I have phoned NAT WEST, the rates ppl were contacted, and they will now changed my track and switch mortgage illustration to start earlier without any charge, that's no ERC's or no amendment fee for change in illustration. So I will benefit from a lower interest rate starting earlier than the original illustration. I am also entitled to £100 cashback as I have done this switch online. So glad I didn't accept the original track and switch deal and queried it.
