House calling DCA's

I have more than one recieved postcards from RMA saying they will be calling on me. Although I have realised (from staying in all day when the first one came) that "calling" meant "telephone calling".
This set me wondering about whether I had the right to tell any company in advance that i will not allow any doorstep callers. I believe that you can refuse anyone in advance from calling on you and consider it trespassing. This may be especially important in relation to a threat of house-calling with an accompanying charge. Would it be a good idea to advised in advance a DCA that you will not allow any home visits and that therefore no charges will be accepted?
Thanks all.

I do not think that you could legally stop a company calling round but you can refuse to answer the door. The only time they have legal entry is when they go to court and get a warrant.0

Look at the discussions relating to TV licensing. People posting there argue that if you tell them they are not allowed on your property they are then not allowed to walk on your land to get to your front door.
But why not just make an arrangement to pay these sharks? Or else, if you don't really owe anything then allow the courts to settle things.0
