Curtains for very wide windows?

Our windows measure 360cm across and I am finding it really difficult to buy curtains that are big enough, I would rather buy already made curtains as they will work out cheaper but there are so few shops that sell curtains this wide.
Has anyone else got wide windows and bought cheap curtains to fit?
Please help?

I have a very wide front lounge window and like you found it difficult to buy for them.
In the end my catalogue was offering two pairs on a BOGOF offer, so I got my sewing machine out and joined them together and made one pair of curtains intead of two.0 -
The problem you will have is that ready made curtains tend only to come in the 'standard sizes' to keep costs down. We too had problems, in the end we went to John Lewis and chose a reasonably priced fabric.
The other option is to find your fabric on ebay or market etc then get a local curtain maker to do them for you. If you have kids ask around the playground as someone is bound to know someone who makes their own.
Hope this helps.0
