Am I missing something? There aren't any cars for sale on it!

Loads of 'admin listings' - am I guessing correctly that the site has just gone live, and you're desperate to get some cars on it, hence the ad here?!

Also, it says on the home page that it costs £5 to advertise - do you bypass that by sending an email rather than filling in the form?

Sorry if I'm being incredibly stupid!

You're being sensibly cautious. you ARE guessing correctly

first post from a newbie pimping a new site would be my guess.

    Hi

The site is not busy enough to sell anything and it looks like there is still some work that needs doing to the site. It looks to be a US template and in the advanced search it asks for State and Country. For a small player car sales website to be successful it needs to be very very regional, even down to City/town level as this would put sellers and buyers into close proximatey to each other. As it stands you need lots of content, maybe offer car traders free spots.

Try https://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk in order to try and make some connections in the business. Advertising via forums such as this is really spamming the board (as I presume the site is yours?), but I would prefer to give you advice than chase you away for posting spam.

Good luck with it, but it will be an uphill struggle. Best advice is stay regional.
