Ex bankrupt as additional user on credit card

Hi Peeps,

If I add my OH as an additional user on my credit card will it lower my credit score or help to raise his or neither?? I have a squeaky clean credit score, he is 7 years post discharge from bankruptcy with no other credit cards in his name at the mo. At the mo all of our finances are seperate.

No problem I am named on my sons credit card....it is their responsibility to pay the account and there is no financial link. It is quite common to do this

If he is seven years post BR then it will be off his files anyway. Get him to check his credit files and do the clean up, if needed, as per the sticky. He should be able to apply for a credit builder cc like Vanquish or CapOne. Use on essentials like petrol, put the money to one side and then pay it off all at once.

Individual credit scores don't exist I'm afraid.
