    Was there any sign of damage to the package, or did you manage to drop the console? as quite confused as to how that level of damage has happened without any signs of being dropped on the box?

    I know someone that this happened to but they bought it online. They simply emailed them and they told him to send it back and he got a refund. I think they would have given him a replacement but they had none left in stock.

    take it back ask for replacement BOSH

    Read in another forum that a lot people open cover for HDD and a screw fell out have you check in that.. this will not void the warrenty
