I have received a CCJ from a county court. It is the right address for me but the name of defendant is not me. The name is very similar but spelt incorrectly. Can I dispute the claim as the name of the defendant is wrong?

They take a practical approach, and are likely to just amend your name details.

the same approach us taken by the Courts for administrative errors & motoring offences too...No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -

This is not the same as getting a PCN with an incorrect VRM. You will no doubt have received earlier (pre-judgement) mail, so the time to dispute and seek rectification (or repudiation) is before the decision is reached as to liability.0

The company that I took the contract out with also have my name wrong from the beginning. Is this still technically a technicality? Can I dispute that the contract is not mine?0
