Reached max number to follow on Twitter!

I was having trouble following people on Twitter today and thought my computer was playing up or something. I tried in a different brower and something popped up saying I couldn't follow any more people at this time. Apparently 2,000 is the general maximum.

I can't believe I have ended up following up so many just through competitions! Time to start deleting.

I have to do this on a regular basis. If you do a quick search, you will find that there are several sites that have a program to allow you to do this in bulk, instead of one at a time. I use tweepi, but other people recommend manageflitter or others. There are quite a few threads in compers chat corner with recommendations.

Thanks for the advice. I had no idea there was any sort of limit so it took me by surprise!

Hi, have you ever won anything from twitter? I have won quite a bit on the direct ones but nothing off twitter x

Hi I use www.manageflitter.com when im maxed out ,you can delete upto 100 a day,hope this helps

Thanks, that's really helpful. I've now deleted some of the people who haven't tweeted for ages. I'm not quite sure who to delete though really, as I use twitter for both normal twitter comps, but also for entries on rafflecopters. Because of the latter I might accidentally unfollow people from live rafflecopter competitions. Ho hum.

Re winning twitter comps, I've been comping since September and have won a Hudl and tickets to a film screening (which I couldn't go to).
