re-mortgage advice needed!

Hi everyone
I currently have a 2 year fixed rate mortgage on my flat which has come to an end. I now need to decide what to do...
It is currently in my name but I would like my boyfriend's name to be added. He has about £15k of debt but I have none.
We are also planning on moving to a house next year but would like to have a fixed rate so we know what we are paying each month.
We were possibly thinking of carrying on the flat mortgage in my name and changing it to joint ownership when we buy a house together next year. However I earn £24,000 P.A. and my boyfriend earns £27,000 P.A. so there may be more deals open to us with our combined wages? It would also be easier if for example we got a 3 year fixed rate between us and could then move it to our new property.
My current mortgage is for £105,500 and is an interest only 'homebuyers' mortgage with HSBC. I also have a £10k equity release loan with HSBC which we would like encorporating into the mortgage. We have not had our flat valued by an estate agent yet but looking at prices in the area we think it is worth at least £140k now, we bought it for £117k 3 years ago.
Any help would be appreciated. I hope I wasn't too confusing, I have given as much info as possible as this is my first post!
