Problem with Mango voucher from look.co.uk

In Jan 2013 I won a Mango voucher and have tried to use it before it expires in February. I have had some problems though.

The actual card has a chip and states that it can be used in stores, nothing about online.
However the website says all vouchers must be used online and a code is required. The only code i can see comes up as invalid when put in the balance check.
If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Some companies see giftcards and vouchers as different things. A voucher can be an E-voucher (so like E-giftcard that is sent via email) or a discount code.

Maybe when they say voucher they mean an E-giftcard or discount code but your's is a giftcard which can only be used instore? I hope that all made sense!

I'm actually surprised with the amount of companies who supply giftcards that can't be used online!

Me too... I guess that they think we might spend more money if we're forced to browse a physical shop...

Has the card got a little scratch off panel at the back with a code in? Often gift cards need these activating to use online.



ETA:
I've just had a quick look on the Mango site, and it seems there are two kinds of voucher, a gift card which seems only to be able to be used instore, and a virtual gift voucher, for use online. Sounds to me like you've got the first one, only for use instore - but why not try and give them a ring to check?

Thanks very much everybody, didn't realise there was a difference between gift cards and vouchers.

I haven't tried using it instore because I have to travel to get to the nearest store but I am going to give them a call and see what they say.
