Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can advise on where I should look for a new pair of flat black boots, suitable for work (reasonably smart).
I'm really not keen on the riding boot style that seems to be popular at the moment, and really don't think that they suit me anyway.
Something that is not too "chunky" (for want of a better word), and must be leather.
Something that would look good with both skirts and dresses and trousers as well if possible.
I have already looked in Debenhams; Schuh (sp?); Clarks; House of Frazer; and Jones the bootmakers.
I'm beginning to get desperate as the sole on my current ones are irreparably broken! And they're very scuffed looking, even after polishing!
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks in advance,
D9

I have a problem with boots due to wide feet and wanted a comfortable flat pair of boots nearly impossible to find a wide fitting in a decent style.
I ended up buying these in the brown and I can honestly say they are the most comfy footwear I have ever worn http://www.marksandspencer.com/Footglove-Leather-Ruched-Boots-Insolia%C2%AE/dp/B00G4QZ2Z2?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_1&nodeId=3154822031&sr=1-1&qid=1391014528&pf_rd_r=0F8R18CVV3HP7J3TCBAV&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=321381407&pf_rd_s=center-30 -

I've never heard of Duo before, The styles are lovely though. Have you ordered from them before? If so, what was your experience?0 -

I have. They also have a shop in Bath & London. Staff are very helpful. Had questions when ordering boots online and the mail order people were very good.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hi I purchased two pairs from Evans yes Evans just before Christmas.
I do have an issue with fat ankles, and these are fab boots.
Brown pair not leather however really pleased.
Black pair leather with a stretch panel insert. both low heel but still dressy enough to wear with skirt/dress.
Have had boots from here in the past & they always wear well - one sued pair being about 5/6 yrs old and yet another winter of being brushed up and sprayed.0
