What's not enough?

I've only be entering competitions since the end of December.

I enter about 50 per day, ranging from entering ones on here to entering ones on Facebook and Twitter.

Do you think this still enough? Still nothing yet but I'm sure I'll get a surprise soon enough...I hope

I started 3 weeks ago and I too am waiting for a big win. I enter about 40 to 60 a day. Most I've done in a day is 95. I think you can only do as much as you can, without it overtaking your whole life.

On a quick calculation, I think I RT more than that in a day

I reckon I enter 150-200 comps on an average day - that doesn't include comps which run from 9-5 as I'm usually at work, so miss them, although I do spend my lunchtime on Fridays hitting twitter hard (and usually getting twitter jailed )

Since last October, I've averaged just under 4 wins per week entering for prizes I really want to win. I enter 'effort' competitions when I've got the time too

I use MSE and search on FB and twitter for others

'Enough' is as much as you want to enter - it's up to you. I used to enter less, but won about 1 prize per week, which I was happy with It's striking the balance that makes you happy, where comping is a hobby you enjoy and where prizes are a bonus.

eta: I also take comping 'breaks' for several weeks during the Summer, and I don't do so much on a weekend, so I can spend time with family. And evenings are split comping/family time too, it's getting that balance so it doesn't take over your life!

My daily amount varies... Over the space of a week I'd say I do about 500 as well as the dailies which I don't count in this total as they're not different comps every day. At the moment I'm doing about 100 of those a day but it can be up to about 250 at times.

If you look on the main board entitled "competitions time" you will see pages, pages and PAGES of competitions that you can enter! For me it takes about an hour a day to do dailies, plus about 6-8 hours a week doing the rest. That's not much compared to some, you will find people on here that spend all day comping and do hundreds a day!

I enter about 50 on average per day from the main boards. I don't bother entering facebook and rafflecopter competitions.

a good month for me is winning about 5 competitions, a bad month is nothing. Which is fine by me. And I've been doing it for on and off for 3 years now and have only ever had one "big win" well what I would class as big.

I guess you get out of it what you put in, some of those that are more "committed" and enter 100's a day have loads of wins which is amazing, but i'm happy with what I get

My philosophy is 'if you are meant to win you will win' so by entering what you have time to enter is a great number! I have heard people winning when they have entered a 'daily' competition just once - so if that prize is meant to be yours then it will be yours ! Good luck and keep going x

I started comping a year and a half ago and I'm still waiting for a big win too :rotfl:

I can do about 150 max in a day, but to be honest it doesn't matter haw many you enter I've found that it only depends on one thing.....your name getting pulled out of the hat so as others have said got to be in it to win it.

Also don't focus on how many comps you are doing each day, just do what you can do, treat it like an online game, enter everything you fancy too not just the big things.

I've had some lovely little surprise wins over the last year and half, what I really want is a holiday, cash or a car but I don't focus on them I'm just as happy winning a lipstick or cd because they are things I just don't have money for all the time.

I enter countless a day. I max entries on every mag daily site. And by the time I get to bed at night I've completed/caught up on the boards. I genuinely do that many I couldn't even begin to count! lol. Basically, the more you enter, the more you are likely to win. (in my opinion)
But as with any amount of comping, it is still down to luck! Sometimes I can go for a couple of weeks without winning anything whatsoever!

EDIT: I'm currently out of work and a full time mum (oldest is at nursery) I comp during naptimes and I'm also an insomniac average about 4 hours sleep a night on a good night lol. I was working before christmas so obviously didn't enter half has many and won less lol.

there are 25 comps listed per page, and most days around 20 pages of new comps are listed
