  • If anyone here is from Bournemouth reading this, don't bother trying the Boots in the square. To summarise my story below there are none left to buy.

The reason: The manager of the store was very unimpressed with me buying it, she asked me where I had found it (I asked a Boots lady if they had any left & she got 1 out of the drawer under the 17 makeup display for me)

I bought just the 1 to check it would go through at 25p & it did, after paying I went back to go find someone to ask for another 1 (as my eyebrows are pretty much non-existent) and the manager had got there before me and was removing the remaining ones from the drawer, I asked if I could buy another & she said no they shouldn't be being sold at that price!!!

Load of rubbish. The ones I purchased where in the clearance section and all clearly stickered showing the price at 25p each!

Seems like the store manager wanted them all or didn't know what they were talking about!
  • Went to my local Boots today and looked every where, but couldn't find it. Asked one of the sales assistants who told me the kit used to be a free gift with purchase, and they don't have them any more. Wasn't a totally wasted trip though, as got a Hello Kitty hair brush that was reduced to £1.50 from £5, and a Hello Kitty hair band foe £1.25. At least my daughter is happy!
Love saving, but not sure I'm doing it right!
  • Pulling from the topic a bit sorry but I also have my eyebrows tattooed and honestly can't recommend it enough to anyone, especially if you find it hard to keep the shape..your eyebrows frame your face and make you look a million times better with the right shape IMO :T I cringe when I think about how long I used to spend trying to make them look even haha ;)

I've always wanted to have that done because my eyebrows fell out just over 3 years ago and haven't grown back!! I don't wear makeup but have to use soap & glory eyebrow pencil to draw them in every day and I'm always in a rush and am useless at it!!
Would you mind telling me how much it costs and how long they last? I've seen some womens tattooed eyebrows when I've been shopping but some of them don't look very natural!!
    Many thanks

I've seen some great ones (I wouldn't have known had they not told me) but I wouldn't know where to start finding someone good to do it.

Seeing as I'm about to go on maternity leave, I don't think my husband would be impressed if I blew a few hundred on getting this done.
  • Got some bargains from Boots clearance shelf.. £1 Revlon baby sticks, £2.50 Piz Buin and £1.50 Fake Bake. And 30p Hello Kitty Flannel!

This is rubbish. I have had the "brush stroke" method done and you can't tell in the slightest. I think the drawn on ones look far more unnatural.

It costs between £250-350 around my area, Cheshire. It lasts approximately 3-5 years dependent on various thing but I can't remember what those things are! I've had mine topped up this week mainly because I wanted to change the shape slightly and have a higher arch, not because they had faded considerably.

I'm sat here with cling film over my eyebrows as I've just come out the show and you have to try and keep them dry for the first 3-5 days. I hope no-one comes to the door!!!!
