Sorry in advance if this is covered in another post - have looked here and googled for this also.
I'm a HP/Compaq laptop with windows 8.
Please could I have the simplest possible guide to keeping desired changes - how to do the exclusion list. Also am not sure what "make sure windows system files are not in the protected list" means???
How does time freeze affect automatic updates - do you have to do them manually???? If so how?? For example Avast updates.
With much thanks - Urk.

I am running Timefreeze on one computer, Shadow Defender on another with Sandboxie on both.
With Timefreeze I don't bother with exclusions. If there is anything I specifically want to install on a permanent basis I just disable Timefreeze, install the programme/ file I want to keep then re-enable Timefreeze.
What specifically are you aiming to use Timefreeze for? To lock down a computer against all changes or simply for testing programmes/malware?0
