Hi all
I've been very quiet recently and all of a sudden seem to have turned into a bit of a brideszilla this week - has that happened to anyone else? I was so relaxed but literally my mind has started going into overdrive to make sure everything is organised!
Anyway. I want to but together a care package for OH to have delivered to him on the morning of the wedding and I was thinking something along the lines of the following:

Anyway. I want to but together a care package for OH to have delivered to him on the morning of the wedding and I was thinking something along the lines of the following:
- A handmade scroll with an adaptation of Pam Ayres 'Of course I'll marry you' poem (look it up - it's brill! I was tempted to do it as a reading but didn't want to have to get nervy about it and wasn't sure how it would sit in the ceremony)
- A personalised hipflask
- A couple of miniature whiskys
- Some 'just married' socks
- A picture of us with a handwritten note on the back
- A post-it note saying 'Don't forget the rings!'

I did something similar for OH on our wedding day but I included a groom survival kit that I got from amazon it's a small bag with different things in such as a marble, love heart, a candy watch and it has a card explaining each thing so the marble was for all the times i had made him lose his, a love heart to show love and a watch to remember to be on time.
It wasn't that expensive and OH really liked it they did a MOB one too which my mum lovesFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
your ideas are lovely...but can I also suggest you add a bottle of water for him to sip on in the church/venue whilst hes waiting for you....my husband said that that was the one thing he appreciated most of all in the run up to my arrival!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Thanks both ladies for your advise, I love the cryptic idea I had seen something similar for wedding favours but I might include that with the care package! A bottle of water is a good shout too, no doubt his mouth will be dry!!0

Does he have a favourite sporting team? Depending on which team you can write to them and ask them to send you a card of congratulations for your h2b. Lovely idea though.Due to get married in 2014. :grinheart

for those of you asking about football team congratulations...it was something that many of the B2B's did via this board a few years back...there was a thread and i'll go back anmd see if I can track it down.
Basically the general jist of it seemed to be that if you wrote to the football team usually giving good notice to allow time for them to send something back most football teams were quite accomodating and answered.
I think the sucess varied dependant on whether there was a stamped addresses return envelope in with the enquiry and I think thjat one or two even enclosed a blank "congratulations on your wedding day" card.
Sometimes I believe it was a generic thing that was returned but there were certainly a few that ended up with a card signed by the whole team/squad....quite impressive if it was a premiership club!
What to write...keep it brief but try and make it personal give the date of the wedding and yours and your husband to be's names, perhaps mention that hes a huge fan and it would really make his day complete if his favourite team could wish him well for his "big match"!
Heres the link to the original thread ...not sure how upto date any of the info is but it may help to insipire you...
