My DBS was escalated 10 day ago and still not back

DBS check is terrible service , police on the street can check you in the minute time, and here I just disappointed how the govern unrespect people.
In my case - in October I did apply for the PCO taxi licence, by transport of London , then 31 October started DBS check , in 12 days is done three steps, 11 of November is reach four stage Metropolitan police search - and here, I stuck full in the !!!! , till now, today is 11/01/2016 two and half month- HOW it ? WHY take F...k decision ? , How I explain to my kids why I thee month jobless? where the respect?

Personal view point only:


you are responsible for your children. Not me, not the police. So I agree where's the respect you have for your children? If I was waiting for month's I'd of gone out and worked whilst waiting for the DBS.


But that's just my view on the matter.

Perhaps the Police have been a bit busy dealing with that other thing they do. Especially over a holiday season that commonly sees crime escalate. As the previous poster suggested, nothing stopped you working. And since you could not already have had a taxi licence, what happened to your existing employment? Because if you didn't already have a job, I doubt your children would have noticed any difference. And if you did, why would you give it up until you knew you had another one?

The Police are not responsible for your employment. Not working was down to your choice.

I'm in Merseyside and recent DBS checks have come through within a couple of weeks. One took five days and there was a weekend in between. It sounds as though we are very lucky.

Ups, of course only I have the responsibility for my children, but answer how ? how ? people can plane start their new work when same malfunction authority like Home office delay application in several month, HOW? in your opinion it's so easy to jump from one job to another.
When I apply for PCO licence, I had no idea that is stuck longer as 4 month.
You introduce it self intelligent?
You self have accept the DBS service delays?
My application still in progress since end of October , Intelligent Man it is acceptable?

In my opinion no it's not acceptable. But it's also not acceptable to blame your problems on the government. There is nothing stopping you working, just stopping you doing what you want.

In this point I think you be not a honest, once DBS is done you can swith the DBS updating service to avoid any work stop and gaps in this mater.

In my opinion no it's not acceptable - Only this is important! you not accept it but you protect it !
. But it's also not acceptable to blame your problems on the government. When the Government do their job properly and on Time, then is no ball !!!! is coming.
It only Disclosure and Barring Service as part of Home office have the responsibility in this matter. Not acceptable any excuse like- Met police have only 130 persons of staff who deal with Disclosure search. Can't to do their job properly, remove this steps or change same think in this policy.
There is nothing stopping you working, just stopping you doing what you want. - It is my right to choice the job that I will to do! May be you forget or not know, but is part of Democratic values

Police have not the responsibility for my or other people employment, but same Met. police department have the responsibility for CRB search, and done the search on Time and proper,that directly affect the employment, and staff of this department have not relation to the other police departments, which daily fighting with the criminality.
