I had a few issues with this form when I completed it for my divorce last year and could do with some help. I'm pretty sure the last clerk I was dealing with was either picky or confused!
I am applying under remission 2.
When I last applied I left out housing benefit and council tax benefit as it says these are not included, then they asked to see proof of these and that it should be included on the form but where?
Also I do not have legal representation nor am I being assisted for either case yet they wanted me to get the benefit award notices certified last time, I'm sure that that's not the case is it?
Thanks for any help...

Hi again!
I had a really picky court clerk who liked making up her own rules but even she didn't ask for a housing benefit letter! The clerk I had made me get a copy of my child benefit letter even though the guidance notes said the payment listed on my bank statement was proof enough. She also made me get a letter from my husband to say that he sometimes transferred money to my account to cover direct debits.
I would phone everyone including housing benefit and ask for a an entitlement letter, I wished I had because I had to pay the £175 and claim it back which took 6 weeks!

Yep, last time I had to go to my local inland revenue office to get them to date and sign both my tax credits and child benefit entitlement forms as they didn't have an actual signature on them..... Of course they don't they're generated at HQ!
I've decided to list housing benefit under other income as when it's added it takes me over the allowance but I'll take the guidance notes to show it isn't included in the income allowance and so brings me under.
Thank you so much for your help. Being on my own dealing with this situation, having this forum on hand is of great reassurance.0 -
I wouldn't add it as the allowances are calculated without it, they can always add it later if they insist! I'd bring a letter from housing benefit if you can just so they can match it on your bank statement.
It must be difficult doing this on your own but it won't be as bad as you are imagining it will be and we are all here!
