Dear all,
I wondering whether you could give you opinion on this matter. Basically my graduation ceremony is on the 18th July, and it seems that my WHOLE family want to come... Aside from myself, I could only purchase four extra 'guest' tickets (at bloomin £20 each!!), but my Grandma desperately wants to come as well.
So I asked a good friend of mine (who had already bought two tickets out of a possibnle four) to go through the system again and get another one, which she did. She then received an email saying that she only has 'one go through the system' and 'isn't allowed to double book' and that the ticket has been cancelled. Not only that but they're going to keep her money until after the graduation (around three weeks), plus they're not giving her the £5 "late-booking" fee that she had to pay on top, stating that it's 'non-refundable'! So she's £25 out of pocket for about a month :mad:
The absolute cheek of it! My university is so bad with administration and such money-suckers, I wish I'd never gone there. Do I have any ground to fight against this and reclaim ALL of her money NOW??
