Debts after BR

I was declared BR in Novemeber 2012, and got AD a year later
I had taken out a gym membership in August 2012, which my OH continued to pay for me throughout my BR.
I cancelled this membership in writing in August 2013, and paid one months notice.
I am now being chased by debt collectors, who say I didn't cancel my contract correctly and still owe money on it.
I've told them to take me to court if they think that, which I'm sure I'd win, but I wondered if as the contract I signed pre dates my BR, would it have automatically been included, and should I therefore be sending the creditors letters to the OR? I didn't include it as a debt on my BR forms

As a debt due to a liability incurred before your BR, in theory it should covered by the bankruptcy order.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
