Just looking for sympathy really lol!

NSD and it is freezing and wet here on the west coast of Scotland. Store cupboard concoction bubbling in the slow cooker for lunch but now I am off in the wet and cold to collect wood for the fire tonight.

Feel like stamping my feet and shouting "Don't wanna, wanna be rich enough to turn the heating on" :rotfl:

Cheers Lyn! Remembered at the last minute we still have the remains of next doors old fence in the garden so hopped a basket of that :-)

Now time to curl up with a big crochet blankie and the animals x

lol - I was curled up in one of my crochet blankies and the cat this afternoon - and just had the 'imitation' flames going on the electric fire to give the 'illusion' of warmth. (it IS MSE - costs about 4p an hour and stops me putting the heater on too! about 40p for half an hour!)

I had a similar moment today. I cant keep up with the floor mopping from muddy paw prints, there are constantly airers full of clothes drying and I had to venture to the depths of the garage to unearth a new bag of coal.

But then I realised I didn't have to wash the clothes by hand and at least there is coal and wood in the garage. The blanket I'm currently crocheting is at the nice length that it keeps me warm whilst I'm busy with the hook and I've had a couple of snoozy purry cuddles whilst sitting by the fire.

Life is pants in the rain but it could be worse :)

I have friends in your 'neck of the woods' - Fort William to be exact - they're also complaining about the cold, damp, dreich weather at the moment.

((((Big Hugs)))) for everybody - especially in Scotland - feeling the effects of the Winter months.

Well done :T on finding the wood - waste not, want not :j.
