5k loan

I need to get 5k pretty sharpish however can't really pay it back for a while. I don't normally get loans ever - is it possible to put it on a credit card then transfer it to a 0% card? for 12 months?

  • You'll still have to make monthly payments on a card, and you're assuming you'll get accepted for both the main card and the balance transfer card.

Without knowing more, it's pretty impossible to say anything else.

What does this mean / refer to?

Not really. You'd still need to be accepted for a card, then most companies will only let you withdraw a certain percentage of your limit as a cash advance.

Then you'd need to be accepted for a 0% apr card. These are usually reserved for those with excellent credit histories, and I maybe jumping to conclusions but I guess by my first quote, this isn't you?

We need more info to make an informed decision.
    1) What's your salary?
    2) Do you have any outstanding debt?
    3) Do you have a history of defaults / late payments?

Can I ask what the money is for?

When you say you cant pay it back, do you mean you cant afford anything, or just the full amount any time soon ?

if you cant afford to pay anything back for awhile, then its unlikely you will be accepted.

whats the reason you cant afford it, do you have a regular wages, any spare money each month?

what is it you actually need the money for ?
